Luang Pu Wat Paknam (Sodh Candasaro)
The Re-Discoverer of Vijja Dhammakaya
The discovery of Vijja Dhammakaya reached its 92nd anniversary on Friday 4th September 2009. In 1917, Luang Pu Wat Paknam (Sodh Candasaro) took a noble vow laying his life to make a breakthrough in meditation. Successfully, the knowledge of Vijja Dhammakaya was attained. Since then this noble knowledge has been propagated to the general public far and wide. Many have first-hand borne witness to and benefit from this discovery.
However, life is short. The discoverer of Vijja Dhammakaya did not live long enough to see this knowledge spread across the globe in his times. This pending mission has been carried on by his peerless disciple: The Master Nun Chand Khonnokyoong. She later found Dhammakaya Temple as a center to perpetuate the practice of meditation: Dhammakaya Tradition.
