The Dhammakaya Foundation Offers Non-perishable Foods to 46 temples in Yala Province

The Dhammakaya Foundation presented non-perishable foods, obtained from the Almsgiving to 2 Million Buddhist Monks from 77 Provinces throughout Thailand Project, to venerable monks from 46 temples, local residents, and soldiers stationed in Yala province.

Earlier this August 2012, the Most Venerable Phra Thepyanmahamuni (Dhammajayo Bhikkhu), president of the Dhammakaya Foundation and abbot of the Dhammakaya Temple, selected Kalayanamitra from Yala province to represent Kalayanamitra (virtuous friends) from around the world to offer non-perishable foods to venerable monks from 46 temples in Yala province. This offering was made to provide relief and to give support to monks and novice monks who are living in this area of unrest. This event was held at Sammakkhi-sritaksin Dhamma Pavilion of Buddhabhumi Temple in the central district of Yala province; with Mr. Prasitsak Limkanchana, vice-chairman of Yala Chamber of Commerce and chairman of Limyala Society, as the chairperson for this occasion.
