Schedule of Dhammakaya Master Day

The discovery of Dhammakaya Knowledge reached its 95th anniversary on Sunday, 30 September 2555 B.E. In 1917, Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro) took a noble vow laying his life to make a breakthrough in meditation. Successfully, the knowledge of Dhammakaya Knowledge was attained. Since then this noble knowledge has been propagated to the general public far and wide. Today, Dhammakaya Knowledge is the very vehicle that can bring inner peace to everyone in the world.

Everyone is cordially invited to join the ceremonies to commemorate the Great Master Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro), the discoverer of the Dhammakaya Knowledge and vanquisher of Mara; to pay reverence to the gold statue of the Great Master Phramongkolthepmuni; and to light the unity lantern on Sunday, 30 September 2555 B.E. (2012) at Kaewsarapadnuek Auditorium in the Grand Meditation Hall of the Dhammakaya Temple (Pathum Thani Province).

Morning

8:40 a.m. Congregation performs the morning chanting
9:30 a.m.

The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni, the presiding monk, arrives to the ceremony

and leads the congregation in paying homage to the Triple Gem and meditation

11:00 a.m. Ceremony to offer sanghadana to the monastic community
11:15 a.m. End of the morning session

Afternoon

1:15 p.m.

Monastic community and congregation chant the praise of the Great Master

Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro)

1:30 p.m.

– The Most Ven. Phrathepyanmahamuni arrives to the ceremony

– lights the candles and

incense and leads in paying homage to the Triple Gem

– places the ceremonial flower bouquet in front of the gold statue of the Great Master

Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro), the Vanquisher of Mara

– leads the congregation in meditation

– declares the verses extolling the virtues of the Great Master

2.20 p.m.

Ceremonial reverence to the Great Master Phramongkolthepmuni (Sodh Candasaro),

the Vanquisher of Mara, with a jasmine garland

2:45 p.m. Ceremony to light the unity candle - Ceremony to offer donation
3:30 p.m. Dhamma discourse by a Pali Level 9 venerable monk
4:30 p.m. End of the afternoon session

Please come dressed in an all-white outfit for the ceremonies as a way to show respect for the Great Master Phramongkolthepmuni, the discoverer of the Dhammakaya Knowledge, and to help maintain a Buddhist tradition.
